Palliative Care

About the department

The Hand in Hand Palliative Care team at Children’s Nebraska is here to make sure your patients are comfortable. Their quality of life and your peace of mind is our top priority. sireesha$$specialty TEST

Patients will receive palliative care in addition to any treatments they are already undergoing for their condition. We integrate our services seamlessly with other departments by staying in touch with all care providers and offering integrative therapies — such as pet therapy and relaxation techniques — to relieve symptoms and find peace of mind.

Treatment options

The Hand in Hand Palliative Care team is a multidisciplinary team that provides both medical and non-medical methods to care for your child. While medication might be the best approach in some cases, integrative therapies such as massage therapy, healing touch or music therapy may be preferred in others. Often, using medication and integrative therapies together is the preferred treatment approach. Children’s offers a variety of inpatient services and support options to help with decision making and coping with emotional challenges.
